What is a Meniscus Repair?

 Preservation of the meniscus is incredibly important for the long term health of a patient's knee. Whenever possible, a meniscus tear should be addressed with a repair. Several factors such as location, tear orientation, and chronicity can affect healing ability. By preserving meniscal tissue via a repair, the risk for later development of osteoarthritis is hopefully minimized.
